Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SigmaBudgie ("we," "us," or "our"), a product of KodaBloom LLC, handles information when you use our website at sigmabudgie.com (the "Service"). We keep the Service simple, and we collect as little as possible.
1. Information we collect
- Practice activity. When your child takes a test, answers and scores are saved so results can be shown later. If you use the Service without an account, this stays in your browser's local storage on that device. If you create a parent account (see below), this activity is also saved to our database so it is available on your other devices.
- Account information. Creating a parent account is optional and is used to sync progress across devices. We collect the email address you use to sign in. We use passwordless "magic link" sign-in, so we do not store passwords.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Basic server logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability.
- Payments (when available). Paid purchases are not yet live. When they launch, payments will be processed by Stripe. We will not receive or store your full card details.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate and improve the Service, respond to your messages, keep the site secure, and (in the future) fulfill purchases. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Children's privacy
SigmaBudgie is designed for parents and guardians to use with their children. Accounts are parent-owned: only a parent or guardian creates an account and signs in with their own email, and children do not create their own accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13; the practice activity we store (answers and scores) is created by the parent-owned account. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to save practice progress and to keep you signed in on your device. If you create a parent account, progress is also saved to our database (Supabase) so it syncs across your devices. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Google Fonts is used to display our typeface, which may involve your browser contacting Google's servers.
5. Third-party services
- Netlify — website hosting.
- Supabase — account sign-in and database for syncing practice progress across your devices.
- Google Fonts — font delivery.
- Stripe — payment processing (for future purchases).
6. Data retention
If you use the Service without an account, practice data lives in your browser until you clear it. If you create an account, your account and its practice data are kept until you ask us to delete them — email us and we will delete your account and associated data. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you.
7. Your choices
You can clear practice data at any time by clearing your browser's site data. You can contact us to ask what information we hold about you or to request deletion.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
