This Privacy Policy explains how SigmaBudgie ("we," "us," or "our"), a product of KodaBloom LLC, handles information when you use our website at sigmabudgie.com (the "Service"). We keep the Service simple, and we collect as little as possible.

1. Information we collect

• Practice activity. When your child takes a test, answers and scores are saved so results can be shown later. If you use the Service without an account, this stays in your browser's local storage on that device. If you create a parent account (see below), this activity is also saved to our database so it is available on your other devices.
• Account information. Creating a parent account is optional and is used to sync progress across devices. We collect the email address you use to sign in. We use passwordless "magic link" sign-in, so we do not store passwords.
• Parent email. The first time someone starts a test, lesson, or quiz on a device, we ask for a parent's email, along with the grade, an optional nickname for the child (to tell brothers and sisters apart; please do not use a full name), and the page it was given on, so we can keep scores and progress together. KodaBloom LLC also uses it to send product updates, such as new tests and practice tips. We ask a parent or guardian for this, not the child. You can unsubscribe from any email, and you can ask us to delete your email at any time by writing to info@kodabloom.com. The email is also kept in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on that device.
• Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
• Basic server logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate and improve the Service, respond to your messages, keep the site secure, and send the product updates described above to parents who gave their email. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Children's privacy

SigmaBudgie is designed for parents and guardians to use with their children. Accounts are parent-owned: only a parent or guardian creates an account and signs in with their own email, and children do not create their own accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13; the practice activity we store (answers and scores) is created by the parent-owned account. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to save practice progress and to keep you signed in on your device. If you create a parent account, progress is also saved to our database (Supabase) so it syncs across your devices. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Google Fonts is used to display our typeface, which may involve your browser contacting Google's servers.

5. Third-party services

• Netlify: website hosting.
• Supabase: account sign-in, the database for syncing practice progress across your devices, and storage of parent emails.
• Google Fonts: font delivery.
• Stripe: processed payments made before SigmaBudgie became free on October 17, 2026. We no longer take payments, and we never received or stored full card details.

6. Data retention

If you use the Service without an account, practice data lives in your browser until you clear it. If you create an account, your account and its practice data are kept until you ask us to delete them. Email us and we will delete your account and associated data. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you. Parent emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

7. Your choices

You can clear practice data at any time by clearing your browser's site data. You can contact us to ask what information we hold about you or to request deletion.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
